Meet the Sullivans: Our Merry Christmas

Our Merry Christmas

We started our Christmas holiday on Christmas Eve with our families at Mass. It was so packed, many people had to stand.

Keith and I in front of our tree after Mass.

My sister Kathee and I. Can you tell I could find the right light? After we took a few pictures and grabbed the desserts I had made, we headed off to my mother-in-laws for dinner.
There we 30 family members there that night for dinner. My mother-in-law, Barbara treated us all to the Feast of the Seven Fishes (Cioppin), which is an Italian tradition. (Our name, Sullivan, is Irish, but Keith is Irish and Italian). This is Keith and his Uncle Jim chatting after dinner.

My sister, Kathee and my niece Jessica.

Keith and his brother Kevin.

This is the snowman cake I attempted. I ran out of time and didn't allow it to set with the butter cream properly, so it wouldn't stand. But, I managed to salvage it!

The Raspberry Lintzer, Peanut Butter Blossom and Spritz cookies my sister-in-law and I slaved away on earlier in the week.

This was the back up cake: Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake. Pretty, isn't it?

The whole family!

On Christmas morning Keith and I opened presents and stockings.

Keith opening the Kindle I gave him.

The 6.75 quart cobalt blue Le Creuset french oven Keith gave me!

The Panettone French Toast I made Christmas morning (with mascarpone on top!)

The Gorgonzola-Pear-Pecan toasts I made for Christmas day at my Grandpa's.

Grandpa on Christmas Day sitting next to his tree. Doing pretty darn good for being almost 85, huh?

Aunt Kathy and my sister Kathee catching up.

My name cards held up from last Christmas! My used 'em again! My sister made the favors; Chocolate Shortbread cookies, tied up with a candy cane.

My handsome hubby sitting by the fire!

Champagne flowing, mmm!

Cocktail napkins from a long time ago. Mom found them in Grandma's entertaining drawer. Aren't they retro?

The whole fam together! Merry Christmas!
