Wine Friday: Clos du Bois Sonoma Reserve Chardonnay Russian River Valley

Thank goodness it's Friday! It has been another busy, busy week. I'm looking forward to a little cooking, relaxing and some time with friends on Saturday night.
I'm linking up with Kendall this week for Wine Friday! This week I am sharing the bottle I picked up last weekend. My dad used to buy Clos du Bois Merlot, so years back when I started buying wines I picked this brand. My family has a river cabin near the winery, but I have never been to the winery itself. Some day I'll have to make a trip up there--I'm sure its a beautiful place.

Clos du Bois Sonoma Reserve Chardonnay Russian River Valley

Year: 2009
Origin: Russian River, California
Average Price: $13.00
Wine Notes from Vineyard: Brilliant silver, straw yellow in color, this aromatic Chardonnay explodes with scents of Mandarin citrus, ripe pear and lime, with jasmine and spice overtones. The palate is bright and juicy, with refreshing flavors of ripe pear and citrus. The wine's lush, well-integrated oak and smooth, creamy texture were achieved by aging sur lie for eight months before bottling.
