Meet the Sullivans: Easter Weekend 2012

Easter Weekend 2012

Jesus said to her,
“I am the resurrection and the life.
The one who believes in me will live,
even though they die;
and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
John 11:25-26

I clearly remember standing in church during Mass on Easter Sunday last  year praying for the little baby growing inside me. I prayed that the pregnancy would be free from complications, that the labor would be smooth, but most of all that the baby would be healthy and happy. God blessed us with all we prayed for that day. That is a really sweet memory. Owen is such a little blessing. I can't believe it has been a year since that day!

Owen's first Easter was so fun! I always knew holidays would be more meaningful and eventful (to say the least!) when we had a child in tow.
You can't quite tell, but Owen is wearing bunny ears the photographer gave us when he had his picture taken with the Easter Bunny at the mall last week.

With cheeks this chubby you only need to push lightly to get a cute face like this!

On Saturday Owen hunted for Easter eggs with his cousins Megan and Brandon!

On Easter morning we got right up and got ready for Mass. Owen had never been to church before and he was a little angel the whole time. He fussed a bit but was easily calmed. The whole experience was much easier than I thought it would be!

After Mass we came home, changed into comfy clothes and had Owen "open" his basket from the Easter Bunny. He really lucked out!

Later in the afternoon we headed over to my Grandpa's for dinner with my family. Owen was such a great baby the whole time and loved all the attention from his Auntie, great-Aunties and uncle and Grandma.

Owen really has a sweet spot for his Auntie KC. She always gets the best smiles out of him!

Who is that in the bushes?

Look who came hopping through the front yard while we were taking pictures?! The Easter Bunny!

My mom, me, Owen and my sister.

I pretty much don't get to hold Owen whenever my mom is around. They absolutely love each other and have too much fun!
We actually were able to sit down for the entire dinner and eat at the same time! This is amazing these days!

Owen entertaining the ladies in the family in his jambes before we headed home for the night.
