Father's Day Gift Ideas

This is the very first Father's Day in which I get to celebrate Keith as the dad we now him to be! If you know my Keith you know he was probably born to be a Dad. He loves kids, and they love him--perhaps because he can still channel the little boy he used to be? He is a better dad to our son than I could have ever dreamed he'd be.

Anyway, I'm excited to celebrate this holiday with him for the first time and I've been doing some shopping for gifts to give him from Owen. *Keith, if you'r reading this you must know you're not getting all this loot, maybe just a few things, but you don't know which so don't think I've spoiled the surprise!
1. Beer Making Kit from The Brooklyn Brew Shop I bought this for Keith for his birthday this year and it was so fun to watch him make it over the weekend. The beer takes 4+ weeks to ferment, so I can't vouch for it's taste yet, but this kit comes with great tools and the website has a video to help you understand the process. All the tools are reusable too!
2. Brew of the Month from The Brooklyn Brew Shop I've always wanted to be part of a cheese of the month club and I think any many who considers themselves a beer coinesuer would enjoy a beer of the month club too. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
3. Schaub's Fred Steak from Schaub's Meat Fish and Poultry at Stanford Shopping Center This steak runs about $14 lb., but it is the best steak you'll ever eat in your life. If you're not nearby you can get this recipe for the marinade for the steak, which claims to make it just the same as Schaub's does.
4. Personalized Pub glasses from Red Envelope I just love these, and Keith did too. They were easy to order and made my husband happy. I think that makes them a great gift, right?
5. A Professional Shave Has your husband / dad ever had one of these? My hubby hasn't and I think he'd enjoy it. I think of it as the male equivalent of getting a pedicure; not totally necessary, but worth it!
6. Beer Making Book by The Brooklyn Brew Shop A nice addition to the beer making kit and pub glasses!

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dads!
