Menu Monday & Weekend

Hello! Happy Monday! We had a busy and very fun weekend. We ate a lot this weekend and I feel like I need to detox.
1. & 2. On Friday night I met a few friends for wine and dinner. We went a a nearby place called B Street & Vine. The bruschetta is so great there. You can pick four different kinds. I chose fresh mozzarella with tomato and basil, ricotta with dates and pistachios, roasted red peppers (my fave) with goat cheese, and pear with gorgonzola and honey. The wine flights were so much fun too!

3. Saturday morning Owen and I hung around and played lots. He loves staring at the monitor. I wonder what he would think if he knew we were watching him in his sleep! Ha ha ha.

4. Saturday night we met a bunch of friends and their kids at Rainbow Pizza, which is just down the street from us. Its a great place for kids and has wonderful food. I had a lamb gyro, which I always get there. The guys shred a GIANT pizza. In the picture you can see a regular sized for, which tells you just how HUGE that pizza really was. Four guys shared it and still took home leftovers.

5. Sunday night my mom watched Owen while Keith and I went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. It was wonderful :) I'll share more tomorrow.

6. Sunday morning we made honey wheat Mickey Mouse shaped waffles. I'm looking forward to when Owen can eat them with us! It will be really fun to make them for him. I'm also looking forward to when Williams-Sonoma and Trader Joe's start selling pumpkin waffle mix!

It was a busy weekend and now we're enjoying our semi-lowkey Monday. We did grocery shopping, picked up a few things at the mall, and we're taking Owen to Gymboree together as a family.

Anyway, here is what we have on the menu for this week:

Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti, Pioneer Woman's Lettuce Wraps, Spice & Sass' Burritos, and Caprese Salad.

Starting next week we are going to really try to eat better, especially at dinner. I love to cook, and healthy recipes aren't always as fun, so I'm usually the one that gets us into "trouble".
