Meet the Sullivans: Standing Tall

Standing Tall

Earlier this week we dropped Owen's crib down one level. He was starting to pull himself up to kneeling position and we were worried he was going to pull up all the way.

Then, as few days later I was watching him on the monitor as he woke up from his afternoon nap. I knew from the intensity of his squiggling and wiggling that my minutes to accomplish the last of my nap time to do list were dwindling, so I quickly finished folding the laundry and carried it upstairs to our room.

When I came back down the stairs I glanced at the monitor as I walked by and low and behold, what did I see? Just two little plump legs and two chubby feet. My tiny 6 1/2 month old was standing up in his crib! This kid is too much. He is always on the move and is so determined to get where he wants to go.

Anyway, I ran quickly up the stairs, because I was worried he would catapult himself over the crib rail, and scooped that cutie out of his crib. He was smiling ear to ear. He was very proud of himself.

Later that night when Keith got home Owen re-created the scene for his Daddy. I snapped a few pictures of the cuteness, and then we promptly lowered that sucker down to its last notch.

And if you're wondering how our baby is so insanely strong, it's because we have him doing a daily series of core workouts and push ups.

Don't worry. I'm totally joking about that last part!
