santa baby: part one: owen

There is nothing I enjoy more than shopping for the people I love. I'm constantly on the look out for the perfect gift, so when I started brainstorming Christmas gifts for Owen's first Christmas things got a little out of control. I swear, I could shop for that cute kid for days on end if Keith would allow me to. But alas, I had to reign it in a bit. I've put together a little list of things we'll be buying for Owen (and already have), and some things we've suggested to those family members who've inquired.

Owen's Christmas Wish List

fisher-price little people nativity scene playset what curious little sweetie isn't interested in the manger scene for their first few Christmases? I mean, come on, it looks like it's meant to be played with. I'm hoping that next year (and for many years after that, I'm sure) we'll out this out instead of the breakable, probably coated in lead paint, real thing.

converse chuck taylor double strap sneaker in charcoal Owen recently got his first pair of shoes (Stride Rite). They're really cute, but I so wanted to have him walkin' around in a pair of these. How COOL are these shoes? I'm thinking a size 6 would be good so he can learn to walk a little better first before wearing them.

pottery barn kids animal print nursery bath wrap now that we're giving him his baths upstairs in the real bath, as opposed to the sink, he'll need something like this to wear from the bath to his bedroom where we get him ready for bed. Sadly, he's out grown all of the newborn bath wraps we've been using for him. This one looks so cozy and warm!

mini boden reversible pants these pants are reversible, people! I wish I could wear reversible pants. The knee patches are super stylish too.

b. toys zany zoo activity cube he's a curious one and he loves to maneuver / manipulate things. I imagine this toy could keep him busy on the kitchen floor long enough for me to cook dinner each night, or maybe even empty the dishwasher! (oh joy)

boynton's greatest hits we already have a few Boynton books, but none of these. They're so clever and they're actually pretty fun for us to read too. Owen loves to be read to, so these would be a real treat for him!

finding nemo blu-ray we've started a collection for O of all the Disney movies on blu-ray. You've got to get a hold of these babies while they're out of "the vault" or you'll miss your chance. I think he'll really enjoy nemo. He loves the fish tank in the doctor's office.

fair isle-esque ear flap hat cute, right? He (amazingly) lets us put hats on him. And he looks so adorable in them. He is more well dressed than I am!

pottery barn kids anywhere chair you could call this the pièce de résistance of O's Christmas list. It the big ticket item his mother he has been pining for for over a month. Word is Santa already picked one up in "grass" with "navy" lettering.

fisher-price animal sounds farm grandma has already called dibs on this one, but I still had to share. I love this classic toy. I think I may have had one similar growing up. Didn't everyone? He'll have so much fun with the farm animals and little people and this one makes all the noises too! So cool.

arch logo gap san francisco tee an homage to his roots and the birth place of his grandparents and it's a pretty cool looking vintage-y shirt for a little guy.

I've got some other cute ideas for stocking stuffers to share with you tomorrow my friends! Happy Monday!
