Meet the Sullivans: Five on Friday!

Five on Friday!

Hey friends! It's FRIDAY!!! You might think that as a stay-at-home mom I might not think of the weekend as any different that the weekends, but in reality that is far from the truth! I love all the family time we get, the parties we attend, time spent with family & friends and all the other good stuff! Bring on the weekend!

I'm linking up again this week with Darci of [the good life], April of A. Liz Adventures, Christina of Carolina Charm, and Natasha of Hello! Happiness for 5 on Friday! Here are some things on my mind this Friday afternoon:

1. Pretty much all the photos in my Instagram lately are either of Owen or food. You can obviously tell what my priorities are! See that picture to the far left? One of my favorite things to do with Owen is take him to Barnes & Noble to read some books and play with the train table. I wish we had room for one in our house.

2. We booked our Disneyland trip!! We'll be heading down there in September for our first family vacation! We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel, so as not to miss our on any of the magic! There are so many things we want to make sure we do while we're there that I've already started making lists!

 3. Owen is such a water baby! He is doing so well in his swim class. Just this morning his teacher said that if he were 2 already she would be graduating him to the next level. The boy not only loves to splish-splash in the water, but he likes to just hang out at the pool too. Yesterday he and I went swimming as our after nap activity. We packed a lunch and enjoyed some time lounging and playing. All the fun resulted in a fabulous 2 1/2 hour second nap!

4. Someone else had this Farmer's Market Skillet from Iowa Girl Eats in their 5 on Friday recently, so I pinned it too. I made it last night for dinner and it was the bomb. Pretty simple, healthy and versatile (you decide on the veggies to use)! I used asparagus, cherry tomatoes, fresh corn, feta and I even threw in some garbanzo beans. Keith even said this morning that he really liked it, so I know it was good!

5. I can't wait for Father's Day! You might remember a little something I had made for Keith a little while back. Well, I've been waiting not so patiently to give it to him, and now the time has finally come! I've added two other things to his gift and some "Daddy Coupons" (i.e. sleep in, time alone, etc). We're thinking of going to the Off the Grid: Picnic in the Presidio in the afternoon before getting together with my family. The Picnic sounds so awesome, and I had not heard about it until my friend Stephanie mentioned it last week. Basically, you bring a blanket, listen to music, shop the vendors, eat the awesome food and relax! It's a family friendly gathering, but I hear you can order drinks from your blanket. Sounds like paradise!

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

I just discovered the wonder of the free train table at our local bookstore recently. It is amazing!! We'll definitely be doing that more often. I so wish we had room for a train table in our house too.

And disneyland?? Yay!! So fun! I can't wait to take Abigail some day. I know she will just die from loving it so much.
