It's that time of year again to share my brand spankin' new Erin Condren Life Planner, and I'm so excited! This is my third EC Life Planner and I can say with absolute honesty that they just keep getting better and better. Erin's team really listens to their customers, each year improving on what people liked and working to make what didn't work in a previous year more functional for the next.
I always appreciate the beautiful, fun and bright packaging!
I love the new gold coil and the gold leaf metallic design, but my one regret is the dark brown script our planner is titled with. The font is fine, but I miss the brightness of my planner last year. I loved how cheery and fun it was. Maybe it will just take me some getting used too.
When I placed my order I kind of wondered what the matching notepads would look like. These are much different from the colorful, bright ones I've had in the past. I usually go through about four of these pads a year, just using them in the back of the planner.
I adore the gold edition snap-in bookmark that came with my planner this year! It works so much better as a place holder than the binder clips I used to use. I was so happy with my pen holder last year that I had to order another one. It's nice to have a pen right there when I need to jot something down. And the gold elastic band that holds the whole thing closed? Genius!
As much as I was excited for the gold cover, I was truly giddy about all of the other fun gold additions. How fun are those gold polka dots? And the gold interior accents? And the gold coil? Love!
This year they kept all of the wonderful laminated tabs and added tabs for Special Dates, the 2013 / 2014 at a glance calendars and Contacts. This is great when you just want to flip to your Contacts page--no more thumbing through to find where it's at.
This year each week will always have Monday-Wednesday on the left and Thursday-Sunday on the right. I love the consistency! I also really like that the goals & to do list are combined this year.
At the top of my new favorites in this years planner? The space for meal planing, exercise logging or to dos! I think I'll probably use it to schedule blog posts, but it could also be a fun place for writing what's for dinner each night. I guess it all depends of how I'm using my Home Management Notebook at the moment.
I just started using the sticker in the back of my current EC Planner, and as I continue to use them I may need to order additional stickers, or possibly even the personalized ones!
The pocket in the back is double sided, which provides even more storage for little odds and ends.
