Meet the Sullivans: Menu Monday | Clean Eating Style

Menu Monday | Clean Eating Style

Vacation a few weeks back really threw my whole clean eating and going to the gym plan for a loop, and I also blame the Jewish holidays that made my gym close the week before we left. Anyway, I'm getting back on track this week (after I brought a dozen donuts to playgroup last week and then we went out for a date night to Mexican food and had candy at the movies too. Moo moo. I'm feeling like I really need it.), and this is my clean eating plan for dinners this week.

1. Healthy Orange Chicken (Schue Love)
2. Skinny Chicken Pesto Bake (Skinny Taste)
3. Protein Style Turkey Burgers with Sweet Potato Fries (Self Magazine)
4. Clean Eating Slow Cooker White Chicken Chili (The Gracious Pantry)
5. Southwestern Stuffed Bell Peppers (Meals Full of Color)

Snack wise I'm going to keep it simple, since simple is all I have time and patience for. Some ideas: banana with almond butter, carrots or bell peppers with hummus, fruit + veggie green smoothie or raw unseasoned almonds.

I'm also kick starting my clean eating plan back into action with the Advocare 10-Day Cleanse. This herbal cleanse system can help rid your body of toxins and waste with its unique blend of herbal ingredients, and guides you day by day through the steps for thorough internal cleansing and improved digestion.

What I'm really excited about is that it keeps energy levels up, aiding in removing impurities and supporting the immune system, and of course that there is a great chance it will help me shed a few pounds! And this is really important to note: you can still eat food while on this cleanse, which you know is great news since my last cleanse was unsuccessful.

What are your favorite clean eating meals and snacks?

I love cheese and yogurt --they're usually my go to snacks, but I can't have dairy on the cleanse :( So sad. Apples and PB will be my go to for sure!

Me too! I don't really use my slow cooker all summer, so I'm looking forward to using it all.the.time in coming months for lots of soups, stews and chilis!

Your menus are always the best! Can't wait to hear how the cleanse goes. I know after baby 2 I will be looking for some good meal plans and any help I can get to lose the baby weight.

The chicken pesto recipe sounds delish. I am in need of some clean eating this week. Have been away from the gym for to long and starting to feel yucky!
