Moving on. I'm linking up with The Good Life, Carolina Charm, A. Liz Adventures, and Hello Happiness for 5 on Friday today!

We love smoothies and we have a great blender. It was a wedding present, so it is not very old and it's definitely still working, but every time we see the Vitamix 5200

We've got a great little routine going right now and we're both thriving in it. Owen has been sleeping and napping great. We've been getting out each morning before the lunch crowds to do the things we enjoy like meet friends at the park to play and then go out to lunch, Gymboree, the park, playgroups and story times. Owen is really attached to me right now and wants to have at least one hand on his momma at all times. No complaints here. I'm loving it and soaking it all in.

The Advocare 10-Day Cleanse I'm doing is going really well and I'm halfway through! Last night I made Southwestern Style Stuffed Peppers without the rice and a tiny cheat on the cheese. I haven't been working out as much as I would like, but I'm still feeling the affects of the cleanse. I've had an amazing increase in energy (no afternoon slump), and have greatly increased my water and fruits / veggie intake. But you know what? I still can't kick my cravings for dessert at night, so I've been having an apple with peanut butter as a replacement. I can't even believe I'm telling you that, because nothing can truly replace a real dessert! I'm looking forward to giving you a full recap when I'm finished!

Having said all those wonderful things about the cleanse, clean eating and all that...I can't wait to try this pizza Caramelized Pear, Crispy Prosciutto and Blue Cheese Pizza next week when we're through. It will be a nice reward!

After story time at the library this week Owen and I were roaming the library (looking for my sister-in-law who works there!) and ended up in the cookbook section. Why have I never thought to borrow cookbooks instead of buying ALLTHECOOKBOOKS in the world? I could be saving us lots of money and space. I've added at least 7 to my collection since I wrote this post last year. Anyway I actually bought the Superfood SmoothiesThanks for sticking around through that really long winded post about nothing in particular! I have a really rough day ahead including a trip to Starbucks and the park, followed by a solo mani-pedi and some solo shopping--- thanks Mom!! Happy weekend, friends!

I wish I liked smoothies! I just prefer to eat my food, I guess!
And don't get me started on cookbooks...I think I have over 200...and I keep buying them. Taking them out of the library only hurts me though...I start to love them and want to own them!
Ah, thanks for the blender inspiration. We got one for our wedding and I think I have used it all of one time, haha! I always forget about it! Your little man is just adorable!
I buy so many but don't use them often enough, so I think this is a good thing for me! I still might end up buying the ones I really like!
Thanks!!
Get the Vitamix...it's amaaaazing and makes smoothie making (and soup making and everything making) so much easier and so much more fun!!! Have a great weekend! :)
Oh! How is the superfood smoothies one?! We are huge smoothie drinkers over here! I find it's the only way I can get enough veggies into Scarlett! We totally bought the Vitamix from costco about a year ago and have never looked back, it is hands down the greatest blender ever. The clean up is SO nice also, it definitely makes smoothie drinking a lot easier!

Ashlynn has been the same way this week, really clingy. Holds my hand all the time. We had a mommy and me date night since daddy is away for boys wkd (not that everyday is mommy and me, but we went out to dinner the two of us) and she held my hand while eating. She's even been clinging to me when Daddy comes home, which sorta breaks my heart, but also totally fills it at the same time. If that makes sense. I wish these kids would never outgrow us :(
Enjoy your day tomorrow, Colleen!
She held your hand all through dinner! Oh my that is the sweetest thing I've heard all week. I read somewhere that around this age they start to pick a "favorite" and cling to that person, and it's totally proving true. Owen tells Keith "away, away" :( It makes us both sad, but like you said, it also makes my hear swell a bit.
Thanks Courtney!
Thanks Jennifer!! I'm always good for a post full of food! Hahah
You really should and then let me know how it turns out! I'm drooling over here just thinking about it!
Thanks!
So good to hear! I'll have to share your comment with my husband, not that he needs more convincing!
I think the simplicity with soup making and cleaning it is what makes me want it so much, and also the fact that I have been wanting a larger food processor for years, and the Vitamix would be all that and more!!
I love getting cookbooks at the library! I always forget what a great resource the library can be. We also like to get out in the morning to story time and save the park for the afternoon to tire her out!
I'm DYING to get a VitaMix but can't seem to justify the cost :( I've heard so, so many good things about it and I think I would use it all the time but my husband says no lol
Just found your blog through another one! You are a doll! Um that pizza looks AMAZING. And your baby is so dang cute. Such a darling fam! Newest follower! xo

Awww, love how Owen is holding onto you in the 2nd pic. Can't wait for that! I know my (almost 5 month old) baby loves his mama but that pic is just adorable.
