Meet the Sullivans: Five on Friday

Five on Friday

I'm linking up with The Good Life, Carolina Charm, A. Liz Adventures, and Hello Happiness for 5 on Friday today!

-ONE-
We're looking forward to going to the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival this weekend, followed by a stop at the pumpkin farm. This picture up above was Owen last year when we went on the very same weekend. I can't get enough of the pictures of him there last year! He was just so little! He had only two teeth, was thisclose to walking and was still nursing. I LOVE the stage we're in right now, but I sure so wish time would slow down.

Don't forget to enter my Yogurtland giveaway! The giveaway is to promote the new store that just opened up in San Francisco, but there are Yogurtland locations nationwide!

- THREE -
Last night I jumped the gun (just a wee bit early) and order the gift labels we'll use on Christmas gifts this year. I just love using Erin Condren gift labels on birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day... ANYTIME gifts. I really feel like it pulls the gift together beautifully. I have a serious thing for wrapping gifts. You can use this referral link to get $10 off your first order (and I'll get $10 toward my next order too)!

Striving for more white space. I am loving this series Erin (The Blue-Eyed Bride) is writing right now. I want so badly for us to want less (less things mostly), and have less on my to do list.. and this particular post written by Whitney English is really motivating. I'm considering trying some of the things she mentioned in that post in the coming week. It's really not at all about not spending money (although that is a major perk) but more about not bringing things home every time we go out. Always buying something because it was a "great deal" or because we "need" all the pumpkin flavored things out there to really enjoy the season? No. Less is more, right? I still need some convincing.

We're having photos taken this weekend I have no plan for what we'll all be wearing. I have faith I'll pull something together in time, but right now it's stressing me out thinking about it. I don't want us matchy-matchy but to just be coordinated. Any ideas?? Also, it is really time I update some of my social media profile pictures and the photos here on the blog. Owen is no longer that shoe + sockless, and nearly toothless baby anymore!

I think that less is more, too, but sometimes, it's so hard to pass up a good "deal" or the perfect Holiday outfit for Cam ;) Have fun this weekend!!

I can't wait to see your new family photos- are they for Christmas cards or just an update? I really need to get some done for ours. I'm off to read that post about more white space- sounds interesting!

Erin's 31 Days of White Space is one of my favorite reads right now -- I hope you enjoy it :) The pictures are for our Christmas cards and an update too I guess! :)

I can't wait to see all the pictures...from Owen at the pumpkin patch and from the family photos! Have a great weekend and now I'm off to read Whitney's post. I need less...of everything!

I definitely have a thing for wrapping gifts too. All of our wrapping paper has to be coordinated and I have to wrap everything myself. I've never done custom labels before, but now I think I may have to look into it.

Yeah, less is more something I'm seriously struggling with!!

The labels make wrapping so much easier! I don't even do many cards anymore because the message and the names are all right there. I also really like them for when I bring a meal to a family I don't know (through my Mother's Club).

Thanks so much Leah!!

Oh yay for new family pictures! I feel like fall is the best time to take them. They are always so beautiful!
I really liked the "less is more" post too. Have you read "7" be Jen Hatmaker? It's an amazing book that really inspired me. Ever since I read it I'm constantly purging and donating and selling on ebay and attempting to not accumulate more!

We are having family photos taken next month and I am stressing hard about a) the cooperation level of the little ones and b)outfits of choice. I feel your pain!! good luck :)
