Just like my feelings on shredded cheese -- it is worth the extra couple of minutes to just do it yourself. Trust me, this is 20 minutes or less of food prep you'll be really glad you took the time to do!
This is so simple and easy I feel dumb evening explain it to you, but here it goes...
Ingredients
1 loaf sourdough baguette (best if day-old), torn into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
Place all ingredients into a blender (I use our Vitamix) or food processor and pulse until coarse crumbs form. Spread out evenly onto two baking sheets. Bake until the crumbs begin to brown and crisp. Remove from the oven and let cool. Then transfer them to an airtight container and store at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
Enjoy!
