Meet the Sullivans: FIVE on Friday!

FIVE on Friday!

Hey there! I hope you've all had a great week! This week has felt really long. I was rocking Owen last night around 1 am (per the usual lately -- he wakes up most nights right around 1 am), and for the life of me I could not remember what day of the week it was. I had myself convince it was Thursday, but when I went back to our bed I check my phone and saw it was really Friday! What a great surprise!

I'm linking up with the sweet and fabulous ladies behind The Good Life, Carolina Charm, A. Liz Adventures, and Hello Happiness for 5 on Friday today!

one
The Forty Niners are playing a play-off game early Sunday morning and I think this Banana Bread French Toast will need to be made it if we watch it from home. For the record, I am not a football fan. I don't hate it, I'm just indifferent toward it. BUT I will always be a San Francisco 49er fan. I am my father's daughter, after all. I had no choice! Plus, a win will mean a happy husband for the rest of the weekend!

two
Earlier this week I took Owen to a new play-place near us called La Petite Playhouse, and he had a BALL! Sorry the pictures are the best quality, it's a little dark in there and Owen was moving non-stop. There is a huge multi-level maze like play structure, two sport courses, an interactive game floor, and a bunch of big and little slides. It is really reasonably priced at $10 a child, and is open for free play 7 days a week from 10am-6pm -- it is a mother's best friend and a child's dream! If you're local you should check it out!

three
I have recovered from my holiday hangover and I am totally ready for Valentine's Day! How cute are these heart shaped potatoes? Time to break out the heart-shaped cookie cutters so I can make all our food heart shaped!! I'm sure Keith is excited!

four
What are you watching these days? I am thrilled that Downton Abbey is back! I feel terrible for Lady Mary, but mostly for young Master George. Girls is back this Sunday too! And I've somehow been sucked back into the first season of Boardwalk Empire, which is totally great even the second time around. So much happens so fast on that show that it was hard to catch it all the first time.

Remember when I asked you guys to vote for my 3-Cheese Macaroni & Cheese with Sourdough Breadcrumb Topping recipe in Golden Grain Pasta's Tastes Like Home sweepstakes? Well, I owe you all a huge THANK YOU!!!, because my recipe won the contest! Thanks so much for taking the time to vote for my recipe. I wish I could mail each of you a huge steaming, chessey, casserole of the winning dish as a thank you!

This morning Owen and I are off to run some errands (Goodwill, sign up for gymnastics, the store) and then to have some fun! Happy weekending friends!

I hear you about football. As a Bay Area girl I hope the 49ers win it all but I certainly don't rock a jersey or any other allegiance to them. We're a baseball family through and through! I started recording season 4 of Downton Abbey but I have only seen all of season 1! Need to catch up! I wish I realized they were playing all of season 3 before 4 aired. I could have filled my DVR in a hot minute!

Congrats on winning the contest. YAY! I might need to try that recipe. We love mac and cheese! those heart potatoes. OMG - I love potatoes anyway but heart shaped ones. That is adorable! Too bad neither of my kids will eat a potato unless it is fried.
