Meet the Sullivans: Getting Us Organized for School!

Getting Us Organized for School!

First off, thank you to everyone who completed my first Reader Survey last week! Hearing your input is invaluable to me, and has helped me get start a concise idea of what I want this blog to become. 75 of the people who completed the survey also entered the giveaway for $15 to Amazon. To select the winner I put all the emails (in the order they were received) into a Word doc where they were each given a number, then I used Random.org to draw a random number between 1 and 75. Lucky number 17 was drawn, so Tawnya you are the winner! I will email you later today!

Next week O will be starting preschool, so in preparation for the big change I have been getting us organized. Part of that organization is making sure all of his things taken to school each day will have his name on them. He will only be spending two hours, two days a week at school, but I know from my experience as a teacher that it doesn't take long for children to lose their things at school!

Enter Stuck on You®!!

I love these labels from Stuck on You®! We ordered the Kids Designer Name Labels, the Kids Designer Clothing Labels and the Kids Designer Shoe Labels to use this year on O's things he'll be bringing and wearing to school.

The Kids Designer Clothing Labels ($24.95 for 50) are so easy to apply, and they're machine washable and dryer safe. Each pack includes 50 assorted clothing labels approx. 55 x 16mm. We picked the safari animal design, but there are so many more to chose from too!

Kids Designer Name Labels fit perfectly even on the smallest little snack containers. I've been putting these name labels on all of O's water bottles and we never lose them anymore. We leave them at a friends house or at the gym on a weekly basis, but they always find their way back to us thanks to these cute, bright name labels.

Okay, this last little bit isn't necessarily a back-to-school related tip, but it's a good tip nonetheless. The Kids Designer Name Labels are the perfect way to keep track of your sand toys at the park! I started doing this last year and we haven't lost a single one since. They stay on really well, and the cute picture doesn't fade after being used in the sand and water.

Here are some other places you may not have thought of that you could find use for Kids Designer Name Labels:
  • inside your child's books
  • on DVDs being lent to friends
  • on pencil cases
  • sports equipment
  • medications, asthma inhalers
  • musical instruments, for older children
The possibilities are endless!

If you need advice on which kids labels Stuck on You® range might suit you best email their friendly staff via the contact page on their website. They are more than happy to help!

I was not compensated for this review, but I did receive the products free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

Love the labels. I just old school took a black sharpie and wrote our last name on our reusable sandwich bags, t-shirt smock, etc. The labels for the shoes are so smart!

I'll definitely have to remember this next year when Sawyer starts! Yikes, how did our babies grow up so fast?!
