Meet the Sullivans: Little Loves

Little Loves

We participated in a little Valentine card exchange again this year with some of our toddler / baby / preschool aged blogland friends. The creativity and cuteness of these moms and children never ceases to amaze me!

We kept the creation of our Valenines simple, and home made for this exchange. Together Owen and I went to Michael's craft store and picked out a few new paint colors -- previously we did not own any pinks! -- and some cute little cards from the dollar spot.

We stamped the paint on to the cards using a heart shaped sponge (cut by yours truly) and various sized heart shaped cookie cutters -- all things we had at home already.

O has been really into the paint table at school lately, so I thought helping to paint or stamp with paint the cards would be his jam. He was into it for about five minutes until it got on his hands -- this boy is willing to hold worms and dig in dirt but pain? A no go for him. We tried again later and with a little I do one you do one action we made it through all of our cards.

I added the little L-O-V-E to the cards and wrote the message on the inside.

So simple, yet still very sweet!

Check out all the adorable Valentine's we recieved from the other moms + kiddos!

Thanks so much for sending us a Valentine! You have the BEST handwriting, so pretty! I loved the bunting cutouts, too! Such a creative idea to use cookie cutters with paint. My little man used to be the same way about paint on his hands, but they do so many handprint crafts at his daycare now that he expects to get messy when we paint! ~Ashley
