Goal: Make healthy choices for me and my family, including making healthy food choices and staying active.
Progress to date: Weight stayed the same. Glad I didn't gain anything after missing some workouts!
Highlight of last week: The beautiful sunny weather we've been having here in California -- nothing is a greater motivator to spend more time outside! Also, I bought Better'n Peanut Butter at Trader Joe's instead of PB2 just to try something different and it is really good -- I recommend it!
Workouts: 2, Monday and Wednesday. Thursday I took the time when O was in school to get things done at home, and then that night O had a fever, so we couldn't go on Friday. Friday morning I was really wishing I had gone Thursday during school.
Lessons I learned this week: Again, keeping my gym bag packed and ready to go greatly increases the chance I'll make it to the gym. Later this week I'll show you what I keep in it!
Here's what's on our dinner menu this week:
monday - Greek Turkey Burgers on Sandwich Thins with Sweet Potato Fries
tuesday - Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken Salads
wednesday - Pesto Meatballs with Roast Sweet Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli
thursday - Shrimp Cobb Salad with Cilantro Vinaigrette
friday -Take-out Costco Cheese Pizza + Salad

You are so good! I'm trying to get better about meal planning and so should be working out. Try and justify chasing to crazy boys as a workout. ;) Here's to a great week!
Sometimes it's good to give your body a rest! I've been running outside a lot more since that takes far less time than a trip to the gym. But obviously I can't do that unless Conor is home to watch liam. Finding time for workouts is definitely tough. Hard to balance everything!
I just downloaded Sexy Arms and 7 minute fitness apps- I like them and a good way to fit something in when I can't get out for a workout. Because of snow here . . .sniffle, sniffle.
That's been my biggest struggle getting back into working out/lifting - finding/making time. I got a kettle bell for Christmas and would like to incorporate that for at-home workouts. I have a few Jillian Michaels workout dvds that are good so I don't have to 'think' about what to do. Just push play and follow along. :) Hope it's been a good week so far!!
