Meet the Sullivans: Menu & Motivational Monday

Menu & Motivational Monday

We had such a fun filled weekend! O and I spent Saturday morning exploring Curioddessey with our friends and Saturday night Keith and I had a date night and drinks with friends. Sunday morning we headed up to The Presidio with my mom and sister to have a little picnic at Picnic in the Park and gorge ourselves on food truck wonderfulness. It was a gorgeous sunny and warm day -- perfect for celebrating!

And today we're back to life, back to reality...

Goal: Make healthy choices for me and my family, including making healthy food choices and staying active.

Progress to date: Haven't weighed in yet this morning, but I'm hoping I'm still down another 1/2 a pound like I was when I weighed myself Friday morning.

Highlight of last week: The weekend! It was a great one!

Challenge of last week: Nap time snacking. My MIL bought Cadburry chocolate eggs and it has been rough trying to avoid them during naps.

Workouts: 4! This was a great week for workouts. I did two traditional gym workouts, and since I was free both days while O was in school I did workouts then too. I didn't want want to drive all he way to our gym from O's school and then back again (it pretty much takes the whole time) I decided to try something new. On Tuesday I drove to the track near our house and did some cross training and then on Thursday I did Jillian Michaels at home. These options were so great because I still had time to shower at home and do a couple tasks before picking O up again.

Lessons I learned this week: Fitting in a workout, even if it's short, feels so much better than just skipping it!

Here's what's on our dinner menu this week:

We're repeating the Greek Burgers again this week because we liked them SO much!

What are your plans for the week?

I have a ton of short workouts at home to squeeze it in if I can't make it to the gym. Isn't monday morning the worst for weighing yourself?!

All of that food truck fare has my mouth watering; what a fun way to spend the weekend! And as always, you kill it with the workouts!

I know I sound like a broken record, but you make me want to move to California. I'm dying for some SUNSHINE! Thanks for the motivation!

I love your menus.
I'm having a problem with naptime snacking too. I ate some chocolate that was supposed to be for the Easter basket!
