Meet the Sullivans: Hey, Friday!

July 24, 2015

Hey, Friday!

Hey there, I'm so happy it's Friday again, and I know you are too! We're off to my doctor's appointment this morning and to the concert in the park this evening with friends -- it's going to be a fun day!

| O N E | I just discovered digital magazines! I know, I'm so late to the party. Amazon started offering magazine subscriptions a little while ago and this week I ordered Family Fun magazine, which is my favorite of all parenting magazines because I love all their fun ideas for kid & family activities. Reading it on the iPad is 10x better than reading an actual copy too because I can screen shot any cute ideas straight from the device and pin them right into my Pinterest boards, or send them to a friend. And? The colors and clearness is so much greater than when I read it in print.

| T W O | Speaking of fun ideas from the magazine, I made these cute little page markers after seeing them in the magazine. You simply attach some cute washi tape (sticky sides facing in and sticking to each other) and cut the ends into a V, and you're done. Cute and simple way to add some flair to your simple paperclips.

| T H R E E | We're starting on some of the changes for the boys' room this weekend with a trip to Ikea for some essentials (frames, lighting, book rails, etc.), and then a search for the perfect bunk bed somewhere else. We're not totally committed yet because we don't know if it's the best move to make. We originally considered the Ikea one above because we like the simple, clean look of it, but decided we need something more sturdy if it's going to hold both our boys someday. Owen is 110% on Team Bunk Bed!

I have almost no direction for the room other than I want it to have as little clutter as possible. It's a small space and we'll only be able to fit the essentials in there, and I'm excited to get it started!

| F O U R | I finally descaled our Keurig on Monday and I it made a big difference in the taste of our coffee! I'm embarrassed to admit that I although I have cleaned it several times, I have never descaled it before, and we've had the machine for 3 years now. I'm thinking I'll try doing it every other month!

| F I V E | A little housekeeping... Thank you thank you so much to the ladies who linked up with me last week for the first week of Menu Monday! I loved seeing what everyone had planned for the week and I got some great ideas to add to my arsenal.

I'll be sharing my menu again on Monday and I'd LOVE if you'd join me!  Remember, it doesn't have to be a full menu, it could just be a recipe your family totally loves that you'd like to share! You can read all the details here!

Have a great weekend!!
Also, today I'm linking up with...

Yeah it's pretty neat! Not all the magazines are available in digital copy though. This one was $7 for the mail subscription and includes the dig copy!

Can't wait to see more of your inspiration for the boys' room! When we have 3rd, I may have Liam & Finn share a room, and we would have to do bunk beds because of the small bedroom. I'm all about simple & clutterless too! And I have never descaled my Kuerig!!! Apparently I need to get on this!
