How far along? 35 weeks and 2 days. Ek, I can't believe I will be having another little baby in a month!
Gender: A sweet little baby boy!!
Baby's size: According to Baby Center: By this week, 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (about the size of a honeydew melon). And he definitely feels every ounce and inch that big, or bigger!
Maternity clothes? Oh yeah! I mean, I'm pretty much living in anything that stretches at this point. Every once in a while I wear real clothing, but as soon as I get home I change right back into stretchy, easy to wear clothes again. I'm all about comfort at this point. And while I feel like I could definitely use more clothes at this point I don't want to buy any more maternity clothing because after this baby is born I'm giving all of it away.
Stretch marks? Nope. Maybe I'll be lucky this time?
Sleep: Not great. I'm usually up a few times to use the bathroom or to switch positions, but when I do manage to only wake up once I sleep like a rock.
Best moment this week: Owen feeling the baby move in my stomach and saying he was doing Taekwondo in there! It really gave us all a great laugh!
Miss anything? Not gonna lie, I miss wine. And I miss sushi, and wearing regular clothes, but I'm sooo close, so it's not that bad!
Movement: Yes. Not as many kicks these days, but whenever I sit down I can feel and see him stretching and rotating. Just now we watched him shift his bottom (or maybe head?) from the left side of my stomach to the right.
Food cravings: Vegetables, and pizza.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just heartburn if I don't take Pepcid. I've also had to add some Tums on top if it's too bad. And I have no room to eat regular size meals these days. The boy is taking up all the space.
Symptoms: Heart burn, waddling (yep, so graceful!), braxton hicks, always hot, difficulty picking things up off the floor, difficulty getting up off the floor with any grace. Preganacy at this point is so much fun.
Mood: Pretty good! I'm just tired of feeling tired and like I can't physically do all the things I want or need to do.
Big brother: Owen is looking forward to meeting his baby brother, but I don't think he's ready to share all the love and attention he gets on the regular. I'm concerned about him feeling like he's second fiddle or that he's not main focus. I'm sure he'll be fine, but his feelings are a big concern of mine.
Looking forward to: Not being pregnant anymore, and of course meeting our son!
Are we ready?: I think so! I mean, can you ever be truly ready for bringing a new baby home?
We have a name! I can't wait to share it with you once he's born! Keith and I are still at odds on his middle name, but I'm hoping we'll square that away before he's born ;)
New purchases: We bought the mother load of stuff last week that we'll need this time around from Amazon and it will be arriving in various shipments. We also got baby boy's Christmas stocking, which coordinates with Owen's and their matching Christmas pajamas. I'm feeling pretty prepared at this point!
Less than 4 weeks to go!
