Meet the Sullivans: Weekending

February 1, 2016

Oh, weekends. Always over too quickly!

Ours was truly too quick this week since Keith was only off on Sunday since this is the week he transitions to a mon-fri schedule. We made the best of it and packed our one day with lots of fun though!

But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Saturday started like this...

That gummy smile! He has a stuffy nose, but you'd never guess it. He's always sweet and gentle.

My mom came over in the late morning and we took the boys to the park. It's been raining on and off all week, so we really enjoyed the chance to be outdoors and in the sun.

Sunday morning we went to church with Keith's mom. Owen has been so great during mass.  We bring him a book, something to color with and, as a last resort, a small snack. He stays busy, but he's always listening. Last week, as the priest way preparing communion, Owen heard him say "as we drink your blood.." (talking about the wine of course) and the look on his face was priceless. He looked up at us s d said "drink blooooood? Yuck!"  He's always listening!

He also said a nice prayer for his brother after communion. He loves him so much!

After church we grabbed Philz Coffee and took the boys to Central Park to see the koi and play.

And I have to add that my vinyasa scarf is not only versitile in style, but also in function, because it served as a great nursing cover while we were out.

Acting super silly!

In the afternoon I met my friends Jackie and Hilary for nachos and margaritas at Nachoria. They make their own queso and chips. The shredded chicken was fantastic!

On the way home I swung by the store to pick up dinner because Keith's friend Chris cane for dinner and to watch the Warriror game.

Such a busy day, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Hope you had a great weekend too!
